Youth Development Strategy
The Club applies s strategic approach to youth development. It relies upon the combined efforts of youth professionals, parents, volunteers, concerned citizens, schools, and local community partners coming together to provide a positive club experience for all our youth.
Our youth development strategy is designed to build self-esteem and support the growth of our children into responsible and caring adults by using four basic principles. We want our Club members to have a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging, and influence.
This youth development strategy is the foundation of every program and activity offered through the Boys & Girls Clubs of Manteca and Lathrop.

Our expectations and goals for young people are that they become responsible citizens and leaders who are able to support themselves and live successful lives.
We want to instill in our youth a healthy self-concept, a strong belief in self-worth, a sense of hope about their future and inspire them to set and attain their goals while confidently making the necessary decisions to achieve their life plans.
